Pioneering Life-Saving Innovation in Sepsis Treatment
OUR START
PATH EX was founded in 2017 by Sinead Miller and Alex Wieseler in Nashville, TN. Since inception, the company has been focused on bringing its revolutionary medical device, CycloPE® to market, offering a potentially live-saving solution to patients suffering from sepsis. In 2018, the company was part of the ZeroTo510 Medical Device accelerator in Memphis, TN. Additionally, the company has been a part of MedTech Innovator and the Texas Medical Center accelerators. In 2019, the company moved to Houston, TX to be a resident at Johnson & Johnson’s site for innovation, JLABS.
PATH EX has been supported by both government grants and venture funding. PATH EX received NSF STTR Phase I and NSF Phase II grants from the National Science Foundation for development of the CycloPE® device.
OUR PRODUCT
Revolutionizing Sepsis Treatment — CycloPE® represents a paradigm shift in the treatment of sepsis: instead of just managing symptoms, we are removing the root cause.
PATH EX, Inc. has developed CycloPE®, a medical device designed to directly capture and remove bacteria from the bloodstream, providing a rapid, targeted solution for the treatment of sepsis. The company has secured FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and successfully completed preclinical and clinical feasibility studies demonstrating promising outcomes. PATH EX is now advancing toward FDA approval and commercialization.
